Our home-style cuisine is seasonal in both winter and summer for skiers and hikers alike to enjoy a wide variety of tasty dishes.
In the summer our Grilled meats served with fresh fruit and various salads are well known, as you may also find yourself enjoying them on our large sunny terrace catching a glimpse of our gorgeous sunsets.

There is game available in the autumn, which is when you can expect different games dishes prepared from our resident hunter, Andreas Häcki.
Sun terrace
Our large sun terrace offers pure sun all year round. Enjoy the soothing and warming rays of the mountain sun and admire the impressive mountain scenery.

Festive occasions should be celebratedl! Our humble restaurant can accommodate up to 200 people. Be it for family events, birthdays, weddings, conferences or club outings: We serve you as our guest according to your wishes.

Getting here in Winter
In winter, our ski bus departs daily from the station Gerschnialp to the restaurant and beginner ski area.
The bus leaves every 5-10 minutes. The ride for adults costs CHF 2.- and for children CHF 1.-
Also in summer, a shuttle service from the station Gerschnialp directly to our guest house is possible.

The hosts
As of 2018, Andreas and Christine Häcki who represent the third generation, begin their journey of the gradual takeover of the family business of Paul and Walli Häcki-Steiner.
With the three youngest family members Paul, Jonas and Lukas, the traditional successors are ready to continue the family business.
How to find us
The location cannot be more central. Engelberg is located in the middle of Switzerland and is easy to reach by public transport and by car all year round.
By car take the A2 (Basel-Gotthard) to Stans Süd, then on the main road 20 km to Engelberg. Engelberg is 30 minutes from Lucerne, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Basel, Zurich or Berne.

National and international connections (from Zurich airport connections every half hour with about 1h travel time) to Lucerne.
Then with the Zentralbahn in 43 minutes through varied landscape and gorges up to Engelberg. The combination with the ship also has its charm: from Lucerne by sea to Stansstad or Buochs and from there by public bus and train to Engelberg.
